The CK3 Mini Probe Add-on for the Xecuter Connectivity Kit 3 (CK3 Lite or CK3 Pro) is a tool that makes the process of extracting the unique key from a Lite-On 74850C DVD drive totally solderless, without this tool the user would have to bridge the TX and RX points on the drive’s motherboard with a soldering iron before they could use CK3 Lite or CK3 Pro to read the key from the drive. This tool is for those people that have never soldered before, but know how to flash and don’t want to risk using a cheap iron on their drive and make a mistake, or also for tech guys in a hurry this tool makes the process much much faster and easier.

The CK3 Mini Probe is extremely simple to use. There are two LED’s which indicate power to the CK3 Probe (Blue LED) and also a successful connection to the TX point on the Liteon 74850C DVD drive (Green LED). The package includes the CK3 Probe and the cable that will connect it to the CK3 Lite or CK3 Pro.

When using the probe make sure you are careful not to touch the point in this picture as it will void your warranty.
